The table-top of the Sling Coffee Table is a super-ellipse, blending a rectangle and a circle, a shape with a rich Scandinavian history. While it is a sturdy coffee table, the tapered edges around the top give it a lighter appearance.
The design is clear and simple, yet there are several layers in it; asymmetry in the table chassis allows for a changeable appearance, while allowing the possibility for nesting the lower side table underneath. You can extend a larger platform by letting the Sling Side Table nest partly under the Sling Coffee.
*The product requires assembly by the customer. It is designed based on TAKT’s Eco System Design principles and is shipped as flat packs in individual components, which helps minimize CO2 emissions during transportation. Additionally, the chair is constructed for disassembly, allowing worn or deteriorated parts to be replaced.
